Guitar and Bass Repairs!


East Village Music Store's luthier, Pat Chupko, has over 30 years experience! Why bring your precious instrument anywhere else? No one can offer the level of experience, expertise and quality of work that we do!

Set-ups! We do a complete setup including neck adjustment, intonation and tuning, cleaning and moisturizing of the fretboard, polishing of the frets, checking of all electronics, tightening of all screws and parts and more! Bring your axe back to life! We make it play and feel as close to new as possible! Our in-house guitar technician has been doing setups for some of the biggest names on the New York City scene for over 30 years!

Electronic rewiring! Including pickup installation, coil-taps, phase switches, arch-top harness rewiring, output jack replacement and much more! If you can imagine it, we can probably do it! Our electronic guitar technicians have been servicing the New York City music scene for over 40 years and have worked on gear for virtually all of the guitarists that have lived here in that time span, as well as many artists that were just travelling thru!

Restoration! Repair of cracks, broken necks and headstocks, refretting, rebinding. and more! A wide range of price levels are available, from functional to completely refinished! Our two repair techs that handle structural problems have a combined experience of over 60 years! From functional repairs to premium repairs (i.e. you can barely tell it was ever broken), we have it covered! Whatever your instrument needs to bring it back to life, we can do it!

Violin, Viola, Cello, Contrabass and other Fretted and Unfretted Instrument Repair!


Violin and Viola restoration, sound post resetting, fingerboard repair, new bridges, repair / reglue tops that are seperating, replace / unfreeze / repair tuning pegs and more! We also repair banjos, ukuleles, mandolins and all other stringed instruments!


Brass and Woodwind Repair


Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute and other woodwind key repads, regulation, cleaning, oiling and more! Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Fluegelhorn, English and French Horn, Euphonium restoration, stuck mouthpiece removal, dent removal, valve refurbishing and more!


Vintage Analog Synths, Electric Pianos and Electronic Keyboard Repairs!


Our Electrical/Electronic technician is a master at repairing vintage analog synthesizers (he was repairing them when the were the newest thing!), Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer Electric Pianos, Hammonds, Leslies, Farfisas and Vox Organs, as well as the most modern digital synths, workstations, samplers, drum machines, computer interfaces and other contemporary electronic marvels! With over 30 years of experience, no one can surpass his knowledge or expertise!

Electric Guitar and Instrument Amplifiers!


Re-tubing, biasing, revoicing, replacement speakers, modifications, re-capping, replacement reverb pans and more! We do everything neccessary to get your amp sounding its screaming best! We carry new old stock American tubes in a variety of brands as well as Electro-Harmonix, Sovtek, Svetlana, Sino and a host of other new tubes as well as most caps, resistors and transformers!

Pedal Effects, Outboard Gear and Sound Reinforcement!


We can repair virtually any pedal effect, commercial speaker cabinet, power amplifier or outboard gear out there! We stock a large array of replacement raw frame speakers, horns and drivers as well as replacement diaphrams from Eminence, B&C, RCF and others as well as crossover networks, resistors, capacitors, transformers and more! Our technicians can repair and modify virtually any pedal effects, outboard gear and power amplifiers on the market!

All used gear that is repaired by us carries a 30 day warranty on the repair only!

This does not cover if something else goes wrong with the unit! We will make every effort to advise customers of future potential problems and whether or not an item is worth repairing in advance! However, we can not be responsible for defects that are beyond our conrol!
